Telikom Limited has seen and received positive feedback and results from the schools it has partnered with to roll out its e-learning center.

Telikom Ltd Interim Managing Director Commercial Silas Matoli told the Post-Courier that the online learning center run by the Telikom Foundation has seen positive results from schools that have signed up with students performing good grades at the end of the year.

He said schools like Port Moresby National High School, Cameron High School in Alotau and others in the Highlands and Central Province that Telikom has connected to the e-learning center have provided positive feedback that the e-learning center has helped their students and also improved their learning ability.

“The e-learning center is an online library that Telikom Ltd, through our foundation, manages as part of a community engagement program.

These are cost-shared projects that Telikom covers 50% of the cost of the component and the school that gets the connection covers 50%, i.e. a full set of computers, cables, internet , modems and routers, ”he added.

Mr Matoli added that Telikom e-learning offers more than three to four million textbooks, articles and novels written by well-known writers at schools linked to the e-learning project, which means that a large many students in Papua New Guinea have access to these resources.

He said Telikom was happy to see that most of the students who entered colleges and universities this year graduated from the same schools that are currently connected to the e-learning center and are doing well.
