INNOVATING Hawaii to offer e-commerce and digital marketing training | News, Sports, Jobs

HONOLULU – INNOVATE Hawaii (IH) has announced its next training program for 2022, focusing on e-commerce and digital marketing, aimed at manufacturers, manufacturers and other value-added producers interested in growing their businesses. This is the third time the training has been offered following two successful cohorts since the program’s inception in 2020.

Throughout the pandemic, the INNOVATE Hawaii program within the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation (HTDC) has helped these companies meet these challenges.

As the state’s National Institute of Standards and Technology, the National Network Center of the Manufacturing Expansion Partnership, INNOVATE Hawaii’s primary mission is to improve the competitiveness of Hawaii’s manufacturers through a range of programs and services including Coaching and Training, Consulting, Collaborative Industry Programs and Opportunity Grants.

The upcoming program is a series of three-month virtual workshops brought down by popular demand. Participants will benefit from learning and application opportunities through course content, assignments and one-on-one consultations with HTDC’s network of approved experts including AkamaiSEO, Hew & Bordenave, Hidden Gears, Hoku Marketing, Jaxon Communications, Lilikoi Ladies, Mana Means Communications, Momentum, Tapiki, and more.

There will be two distinct tracks within the program to meet business needs.

The e-commerce stream is recommended for companies with little or no experience in e-commerce, while the digital marketing stream is best suited for manufacturers with an optimized e-commerce website who are ready to scale with more resources dedicated to digital marketing.

The e-commerce stream will cover content on the critical areas a manufacturer needs to build an e-commerce site, including strategy, user experience and user interface (UX / UI), branding and search engine optimization (SEO).

The digital marketing track will begin with advice on customer segmentation and a deep dive into content marketing, email marketing, social media and analytics strategies.

Up to 15 manufacturers will be admitted into each cohort per track and will learn together through ten courses taught on Zoom.

This upcoming cohort will join two previous cohorts that saw 20 manufacturers successfully complete the program.

While the program typically requires an investment of $ 6,000, IH offers participation in the e-commerce and digital marketing program at a subsidized rate of $ 600 ($ 60 / class).

Participants are encouraged to provide at least one person from the company who specializes in digital and who will fully participate in the program.
